Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)/Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)
ASCEND’s Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program combines behavioral therapy and FDA approved medications to treat moderate to severe Opioid Use Disorder.
The MAT program includes regularly scheduled evaluations by our team of medical professionals to ensure medication effectiveness and to assess the ongoing needs of our clients. Clients engage in weekly individual and group counseling sessions, as well as case-management services, peer support services, and community recovery support activities. The MAT program is integrated into the ASAM Levels of Care offered at ASCEND.
The team at ASCEND is dedicated to providing Evidence-Based Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder, while at the same time assuring that the medication is neither diverted nor misused. We accomplish this by utilizing both scheduled and random urine drug tests, random medication counts, observed daily medication dosing during any period of stabilization, and prescription verification via the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System (OARRS).
